Hello! La voix humaine
A one act opera
Breaking up, hanging up, when is the end, the end?
- Hello?
- Please Madame, would you please hang up.
A telephone conversation.
Communicating the words, telling a story,
the sounds of the story, a version of a story.
Silence. What might it mean?
What might have been?
What did she hear, what did he wish to hear?
What did she never hear again?
Messages we can’t hear but feel,
where is the space beyond words?
In this collaboration opera is brought together
with mask theatre.
